Hayle (Civil Parish)
Description
Civil parish, created in 1934 from the renaming of the parish of St Erth Urban. West Penwith Rural District, 1934-1974. Penwith District, 1974-2009. Hayle and St Ives Community Network, 2009-present. The parish was enlarged in 1935 by the abolition of the parishes of East Phillack, 2835 acres, and West Phillack, 49 acres, and by gaining parts of the parishes of St Erth, 98 acres, and Gwinear-Gwithian, 3 acres.
Camborne Parliamentary Division, 1934-1948. Falmouth and Camborne Parliamentary Constituency, 1948-2010. Camborne and Redruth Parliamentary Constituency, 2010-present.
