Description

Civil parish. Hundred of Penwith to 1834. Penzance Poor Law Union, 1834-1930. Penzance Rural Sanitary District, 1875-1894. West Penwith Rural District, 1894-1934. The parish was abolished in 1934 with parts transferred to the parishes of Ludgvan, 336 acres, Madron, 3,680 acres, and Penzance, 342 acres.

Cornwall Parliamentary Constituency, 1209 to 1832. West Parliamentary Division, 1832-1885. St Ives Parliamentary Division, 1885-1934.
