Description

Civil parish. Hundred of Kerrier to 1834. Falmouth Poor Law Union, 1834-1930. Part in Falmouth Municipal Borough, to 1866 when this part of the parish was taken to create Falmouth Borough civil parish, which was abolished in 1920 and the part returned; Falmouth Municipal Borough, 1892-1974. Falmouth Parish Urban Sanitary District, 1875-1892; Falmouth Urban Sanitary District, 1892-1894. Carrick District, 1974-2009. Falmouth and Penryn Community Network, 2009-present. The parish was enlarged by 148 acres in 1920 due to the abolition of the parish of Budock Urban, by 1,088 acres in 1934 due to the abolition of Budock Rural and in 1934 by 1 acre transferred from the parish of Mawnan.
