Description

Civil parish. Hundred of Pydar to 1834. St Columb Major Poor Law Union, 1834-1930. St Columb Major Rural Sanitary District, 1875-1892, and part 1892-1894; part in Newquay Urban Sanitary District, 1892-1894. Abolished in 1894, the part in St Columb Major Rural Sanitary District forming Crantock Rural civil parish; the part in Newquay Urban Sanitary District forming Crantock Urban civil parish. The parish was reformed sometime prior to 1990. Restormel District, to 2009. Newquay and St Columb Community Network, 2009-present.

Cornwall Parliamentary Constituency, 1209 to 1832. West Parliamentary Division, 1832-1885. St Austell Parliamentary Division, 1885-1894. St Austell and Newquay Parliamentary Constituency, 2010-present.
